Who We Are

Issaquah Middle PTSA is a private, non-profit organization with members dedicated to the service of the students, parents and staff of Issaquah Middle School and we advocate for the health, education, safety and welfare of all children. We are affiliated with the Washington State PTA and National PTA. Membership in our PTSA supports many programs and events and benefits the IMS community. 

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your donations to PTSA are tax deductible.  Our Federal Tax Id can be provided upon request.

Standing Rules

We are governed by the Washington State PTA Uniform Bylaws.
In addition, we have Standing Rules which define specific conditions that govern our PTSA.
These rules are not allowed to be in conflict with the Washington State PTA Bylaws.

Mission and Goals

Mission Statement

Actively collaborate with the administration to create a welcoming and vibrant academic community by providing resources to enhance the learning experience; strengthen community relationships by encouraging more family involvement; and support students, families, and staff at IMS through our programs and activities.

Goals for 2016-2017

The Issaquah Middle PTSA will:

  1. Provide clear, concise, and timely information to the school community in order to increase participation in PTSA activities and events, by fully utilizing the website, electronic communications, bulletin board and general membership meetings each month throughout the school year.
  2. Promote the benefits of becoming a PTSA member to increase IM PTSA membership to achieve 85%.
  3. Work to create a strong, connected community through:
    • Walkabout (goal: 75 new walkers trained in the fall) (75% Walkabout attendance)
    • Outreach to new families
  4. Support struggling students
  5. Provide centralized access for potential volunteers and committee chairs to view all volunteer opportunities available each month on the website.
