January General Membership Meeting
Get involved and stay connected! Join us for our first General Membership Meeting of 2021 on Wednesday, January 27th at 6:30PM on Zoom. All are welcome. The meeting room will open at 6:15 pm if anyone would like to join early to socialize. Meeting documents and Zoom link will be available on our website the day of the meeting HERE. Please submit questions for our guest speaker, Principal Reckling, by noon on 1/27.

Angel Clothing Distribution!

Attention IMS families. The IMPTSA Angel Student Assistance program is holding another clothing distribution on: Tuesday, February 9th from 4-6PM in front of IMS.
The focus will be sweats, leggings, hooded sweatshirts, and sneakers. We also have a few leftover winter clothing items (jackets, hats, gloves) from our previous distribution if that is still a need. Please use the link to RSVP (no names or personal info required) and provide needs information.

Reflections Art Contest Finalists
A big thank you to all the talented IMS students who submitted your works of art to this year’s Reflections Art Program. Ten students represented IMS at the district level: Sooahn Y., Sophia B., Yeonu K., Sally D., Jumi L., Grace S., Keira P., Jiya J., Peter C., and Yujin C. We commend you all on a job well done! Sooahn Y. received an Honorable Mention in the Literature category.

CONGRATULATIONS! to Sally D. who is a State Reflections Finalist for her Literature entry. Way to go Sally! Good luck at State!

8th Grade Transition Night (for families new to U.S. high schools)

If your child will be in 9th grade next year and you did not attend high school in the U.S., consider attending this Zoom event. Your child's high school will also have a presentation for all families, so this event will fill in the gaps for families who are not familiar with the U.S. High School system (including common US terminology). Sessions offered in multiple languages. The event is Thursday, January 28th. Register here.
Remote Learning Inclement Weather & Power Outage Guidance
Students currently using the ISD L.I.V.E Remote Learning will not have their daily schedules changed or canceled due to snow or other inclement weather. However, power outages and internet disruptions sometimes accompany bad weather and families should save the district guidelines for reference.
