Help Shape the IMS Community — Join the PTSA Board

Our PTSA thrives when parents step up, and we’re currently building the 2026–27 IMS PTSA Board with many roles to fill — both big and small. The PTSA strengthens the vital link between students, families, and our school by supporting teachers through grants and appreciation, students through celebrations, activities, and outreach programs, and our entire IMS community through unifying events.

Our board succeeds when parents contribute a little time and talent — and we truly have a right-size role for everyone. Curious or interested? Email Volunteers@issaquahmiddlePTSA.org to learn more and connect with our nominating committee.

Parent Meet ups

IMS Parent Meetups — You In?
Middle school is a ride… and it’s better when we don’t do it alone. A few IMS parents are getting together for some casual community time — and you’re invited.

Monday, February 23 | 6:30–8:00 PM
Formula Brewing

Tuesday, February 24 | 8:30–10:00 AM
Berna’s Bakery & Cafe

No program. No presentations. Just real conversation about all things middle school — the wins, the chaos, the “is this normal?” moments. Come meet other IMS parents, share your hopes (or survival tips), and strengthen the connections that make our school community feel smaller and stronger.

Hosted by parent volunteers from IMS. Drop in, stay awhile — we’d love to see you there.

🌟 Glow Up Dance Q & A:

ANTICIPATED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

Q: Do we need to dress up?

A: NOPE!

Be comfortable or be creative! Glow parties are all about wearing clothes that will glow under the special blacklights… and you already have some in your closet! Hint: white glows best!

Q: Can we dress up?

A: Absolutely! You can wear formal or semi-formal wear if that's your preference. You can opt in to "glow" colors or wear what you like!

Q: Do we need special glow accessories?

A: NOPE! Bring it if you have it but we’ll help you get your glow on.

Q: What if I don’t want to dance?

A: No worries. We’ll have some other activities or you can also just hang with friends

Q: What if I want to dance

A: Perfect! We have a super fun DJ booked!

Q: Can I bring a friend from a different grade or school?

A: No, this is for IMS 8th graders only.

Q: Will there be dinner?

A: No. The party is only 1.5hrs. There will be light refreshments but not dinner so eat ahead of time!

Q: Can I step outside and go back in to the party?

A: No. There is no re-entry into the party. If you go outside for any reason, you can not go back in.

Q: Do I need a date?

A: NOPE! Most kids will go with friends or on their own
