How can you contribute to a great education for your child?

Donate to the Issaquah Schools Foundation All in for Kids Annual Fund Campaign, running now throughNovember 17th! Your gift will fund programs and initiatives that elevate education for your child and every Issaquah School District Student. Please give what you can—$5 a month to $5,000 a year.  Your donation will fuel success for students in every school, and every classroom. Visitwww.isfdn.org to make your donation today.

New On-Line Volunteer Application Process

Starting this year, it is easier than ever to volunteer in the Issaquah School District. You will register on-line and complete the application once (regardless of how many kids you have in the district).  However, you will need to complete the application 48 hours before you are scheduled to volunteer.  Potential volunteers who have not completed the application will not be able to volunteer. Please usethis link to begin the application process.  Please keep in mind this process will take a little while and includes a volunteer training slideshow and requires you to upload a copy of your drivers license. If you have questions about this process please send an email to this address

What is PTSA versus ASB??

The IM PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association)and the Associated Student Body or ASB areseparate organizations.  The PTSA is a nonprofit volunteer organization and is not part of the Issaquah School district, whereas the ASB is made up of students who attend IMS.
Although PTSA volunteers support the ASB Magazine drive, the magazine drive is a school fundraiser and the two organizations do not share the funds raised by this event.

Please support the ASB students in their efforts to raise funds to support their activities.  Please remember, if you choose to make a donation rather than purchase a magazine, the ASB keeps 100% of the donations.  Every twenty dollars qualifies as one order, so students will still be eligible for prizes.

ASB Magazine Drive-  still needs a few Volunteers this week! Please help & meet new folks!

Here is some background on the ASB Magazine Drive:
•it is the primary fundraiser for our school’s All Student Body (the students)
•it provides the funds for programs such as after school sports and clubs, spirit days, drama, school assemblies and the 8th grade cruise
• IMS PTSA provides the volunteers to help this fundraiser work smoothly

We appreciate you considering to volunteer( no prior experience necessary - training will be provided by the outside company who runs the drive). Come join us, make some new friends and have some laughs.  This is a great way to start the new school year! JOB DESCRIPTIONS & SIGN UP HERE!

WALKABOUT TRAINING is HERE!!!

If you don't know what Walkabout is, or haven't done the required training, don't fret because there will be training on Thursday evening, September 24th at 7pm!! It is easy and a great way to meet other parents and help build community. If you do the walkabout training you can then sign up as much or as little as you want FOREVER. BUT, if you don't do training you CAN'T walk! Come to the training...please.

Does your 7th or 8th grader need volunteer hours?

Childcare is offered at IVE's General Membership Meeting and we need 7th-8th grade volunteers to help watch over kids during the meeting.  The meeting is taking place at IVE on September 24th from 7:30pm to 9pm. Please contact Tara Moe  if your student is interested.

IMS BBQ

The first-ever IMS BBQ is scheduled for this Friday, September 18, at 5 pm.  This is a free family event!  Students should bring their school ID cards with them if they would like to participate in the penalty kick soccer shoot out against Mr. Adams or Mr. Baynes.   Although the BBQ is a family event, the soccer shoot out is only open to IMS students.

For more information please visit: issaquahmiddleptsa.org

School of Life

The School of Life Program is coming to IMS in October.  Volunteers are needed to be on hand to help students should they run into problems with the iPad recording application.  Program bugs have been fixed over the summer and the app now runs much smoother.
The School of Life is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 5.  More information will be posted as soon it is made available.
