IM PTSA DIRECTORY -looking for Adobe InDesign experience!!!
 
We have had a number of folks graciously step up to help put the IMS PTSA Directory together this year. We are still in need of a person or two to help with the edits to the Adobe InDesign file that we finally give to the printer. Do you have experience with Adobe InDesign or know someone who does?? DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD??
  • Special Education Parent Night Monday, November 2nd at 6:30 in the IMS Library.  Executive Director of Special Services, Melissa Madsen, Tara Slinn, Director ECE/Elementary Education, and Susan Wolever, Director Secondary Education will be on hand to answer questions for parents who have children who receive special education services in our district.
  • Tuesday Issaquah Parent Support group (TIPS) November 3 from 7 pm until closing time at the Starbucks on Gilman Blvd in front of QFC.  Social parent support group for parents whose children receive special services. 
  • Most Likely to Succeed movie screening  will be held Wednesday, November 4th at the IHS Performing Arts Center.  Doors open at 6:30.  The screening will be followed by a Q&A session by Julia Bamba and David Berg of the new Gibson EK High School.
  • College Transition Tips for Students with DisabilitiesSaturday, November 14 at the Issaquah Library from1 to 3 pm.

Parent Education Opportunity Not To Be Missed!
"Success in Middle School and Beyond"

We invite parents AND students to join us for an evening packed with tips on how to stay organized, manage time, study and maximize learning with presenters Debbie Rosemont, Certified Professional Organizer at Simply Placed, and Jenni Butz, trainer at Pacific Learning Academy.  Students will learn strategies to find what they need when they need it, focus on priorities, turn in assignments on time, take study-friendly notes, perform better on tests, and feel less stress.
When: Tuesday, November 10, 7-8:30pm
Where: Issaquah Middle School Commons

 Order BE KIND T-shirts
New design only available untilNovember 6th at 2pm
They're back....and available only one time this year! If you missed them last year or want to update colors and designs for this year, be sure to order the 2015-2016 edition of IMS's increasingly famous BE KIND T-shirts!  Orders will be accepted on the IM PTSA website (Members, Guest ) or on a paper form in the office through Friday, November 6th before 2pm! Deliveries will be in time to wear your new shirt for the ASB Kindness Assembly on November 20th.

This year's design features BE KIND on the front and the new IMS logo on the back.  T's are preshrunk cotton, sizes YL-adult 3XL, in bright blue and deep pink-purple,  $9.00 each.  Consider donating an extra so everyone can have one!

Sponsored by Issaquah Middle PTSA, excess proceeds benefit the Angel Program, which provides basic school necessities to Issaquah Middle students in need.  Students recognized by teachers with "kindness cards" may enter them in the office drawing for a free T-shirt.  Students whose names are drawn and who have already ordered a shirt will be reimbursed.Information is also available on the Issaquah Middle School PTSA website, or by contactingms.victoria.evans@gmail.com
