Please HELP THIS WEEK! Volunteers for IMS Talent Show
The students are getting set to show off their talent but they need some help!
We need one volunteer to make sure that things run smoothly back stage. This person will need to help during the Dress RehearsalWednesday 4/26 3:00pm to 4:40pm and during the show on Friday 4/28 1:30pm to 4:45pm.
Also, we need two volunteers to sell concessions in the Commons during the show on Friday.
Julie Morgan, the ASB secretary is looking for one parent to help inventory our stock of PE uniforms. This job should take about three hours and can be done at the volunteers convenience (during the school day) anytime before June 1. Please contact Kristen Allen Bentsen if you are available.
Do you want to volunteer at IMS and have a huge impact on our greater Issaquah community at the same time?
PTSA is looking for 1-2 people to coordinate our Outreach program (well established with great mentoring) next year. Responsibilities include:
Partner with ASB for Holiday gift barn
Coordinate Lunch for the Break program at IMS
Help with Tools 4 Schools donation in the spring
Help coordinate with between PTSA and other non-profit organizations to support families in our school and Issaquah
Consider grabbing a friend or neighbor and taking on this role for your school and greater community!! Please contact Tara Moe orKristen Allen Bentsen with questions.

IMS uses PBSES with the kids- do you know what PBSES is? Come and learn!
In May 2017, parents are invited to learn more about PBSES (Positive Behavior and Social Emotional Support) and how you can use PBSES strategies at home. During this workshop, we will discuss a progressive discipline approach to conflicts at home. This workshop will focus on child brain development, creating clear and consistent limits, and strategies that you can use with your child or children.
There are three opportunities to attend this workshop:
May 17, 2017 - Sunny Hills Elementary School May 18, 2017 - Issaquah Middle School May 22nd - Maywood Middle School
The Student Support Coaches for the elementary and middle schools will host the sessions and they will start at 6:30 and conclude at 8pm.
