Holiday Gift Barn needs drivers!!

We are looking for a few volunteers who would like to help with the Holiday Gift Barn.  At IMS, this program is run by the ASB students, however, PTSA has the honor of delivering the donations collected to Pickering Barn.

This year, our drop off time is tomorrow, Tuesday, December 6 between the hours of 1 pm and 7 pm.

Volunteers will arrive at the beginning of 6th period (12:20pm) and we will sort and count the gifts.  Ms. Donahoe's ASB students will help during 6th period, so you must have completed your volunteer application by this time. Once that is done, volunteers will then transport the gifts to Pickering Barn (by Costco).  I am assuming we will not be done by 2:05 when the school day is over.

If you are available at this time and would like to help, please email Becky Gordon to sign up. I am looking for 8 drivers - one for each age/gender group (so please indicate if you would like to deliver gifts - you do not need to have a large vehicle) and a few more to help sort and count.  Thank you!

Do you Text?

Email?

Chat on the phone?

IM PTSA is looking for folks who can text, chat on the phone and answer emails with families that are new to the district and IMS.  You can make a difference to families who are new to the Issaquah school district and IMS.  Please consider volunteering for this new and important role!  As an Ambassador, you will serve as a contact person to answer questions (via email, phone or maybe even coffee!) and help our new and returning families feel welcome at IMS.  Please tell us about yourself here:  New Family Ambassador Volunteer Information so that we may pair you with a new family that has similar interests, background, or grade levels.

Hate traffic? Try SCHOOLPOOL!!!!

Want less traffic and a green commute to school? Sign up for Issaquah Salmon Friendly Trips SchoolPool by filling out the online enrollment form! A few days after filling out the form, log into your account to see if there is a ride match to school.

SchoolPool trips aren’t just from home to school and back! With SchoolPool, parents can arrange carpools, walking or biking groups to school-related activities, such as sports practices and events, school music events, clubs, and tutorials. Just type in where you live, where you want to go, and the time of the event. The system will match you with other parents taking the same trip!

The more people that sign up, the more likely you will find convenient carpools, biking and walking groups, so spread the word! Email questions to salmonfriendlytrips@issaquahwa.gov
