The Outstanding Educator Award is your chance to say thank you.  It was created to recognize individuals who have provided outstanding educational opportunities for youth that are above and beyond the normal scope of their job.  Please talk with your students about the Outstanding Educator Award and personally nominate or encourage them to nominate someone.

HELP HUNGRY IMS STUDENTS BY SUPPORTING ISSAQUAH FOOD BANK

Some IMS students depend on the food they receive at school each day and are being affected even more by the school closure.  While there is currently no way to directly provide food to those students, please considering supporting the Issaquah Foodbank which is struggling to meet the current pressing need for food support in our community.

  • The foodbank is currently unable to accept private donations delivered to the door.
  • Please provide monetary donations through their website or mail checks to 179 1st Avenue SE, Issaquah, WA 98027. For the time being, they will only be accepting monetary donations, $25 grocery store gift cards, and items off their Emergency Needs List SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM THE VENDOR.
  • You also may choose from these online ordering options for local delivery to the Food Bank:  Amazon Wish ListSafeway DeliveryFred Meyer DeliveryAlbertson's DeliveryCostco Delivery
  • The Foodbank has shifted its method of operation and can use volunteers.  If you are not in the high-risk category and are interested in volunteering, please read the information on this volunteer page carefully, which includes their policies and links to sign-up.

LET PARENTWISER KNOW YOUR CURRENT CHALLENGES

ParentWiser is creating an upcoming webinar on "Parenting Through the Pandemic" to help you cope.  Please take their brief, one-minute survey to tell them what your greatest challenges are. The survey closes at midnight on Friday, April 3rd.

Don't forget that many of the ParentWiser presentations are recorded and available for you to watch at your convenience.  Just go to https://www.parentwiser.org/watch-online.
