March 16, 2020

Hello to all our wonderful members of the Issaquah Middle PTSA.  As you know, IMPTSA meetings, events, and programs will be canceled through April 24, 2020 in compliance with state and district requirements to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  Some programs and meetings may be rescheduled where possible.  IMPTSA will follow the direction of governmental and district leadership as the situation develops.

Thank you to all of those already signed up to volunteer for various Issaquah Middle PTSA programs and events.  We truly appreciate our community of volunteers, and we know it can be disappointing to miss out on the events we look forward to with our students. We will update our volunteer and meeting opportunities as we can.

The IMPTSA stands ready to support the staff, students, and families of the IMS learning community during these difficult times.  We will be providing you with information about supporting your own student as well as others in our community who are being hit especially hard by the cancellation of school.

If you have any questions, please contact Carla Geraci at president@issaquahmiddleptsa.org.  Above all, please take care and stay healthy!

HELP HUNGRY IMS STUDENTS BY SUPPORTING ISSAQUAH FOOD BANK

Some IMS students depend on the food they receive at school each day and are being affected even more by the school closure.  While there is currently no way to directly provide food to those students, please considering supporting the Issaquah Foodbank which is struggling to meet the current pressing need for food support in our community.

  • The foodbank is currently unable to accept private donations delivered to the door.
  • Please provide monetary donations through their website or mail checks to 179 1st Avenue SE, Issaquah, WA 98027. For the time being, they will only be accepting monetary donations, $25 grocery store gift cards, and items off their Emergency Needs List SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM THE VENDOR.
  • You also may choose from these online ordering options for local delivery to the Food Bank:  Amazon Wish ListSafeway DeliveryFred Meyer DeliveryAlbertson's DeliveryCostco Delivery
  • The Foodbank has shifted its method of operation and can use volunteers.  If you are not in the high-risk category and are interested in volunteering, please read the information on this volunteer page carefully, which includes their policies and links to sign-up.
