Become a New Family Ambassador for Next Year!
We’ve all been there – new, confused, and more than a little apprehensive.  Do you remember how much that helping hand or friendly face meant to you?  Now YOU can be that person for a new IMS family for the 2019-20 school year.
  • We match IMS families new to the Issaquah School District with established IMS families to help answer questions about school registration, classes, culture, and other things that come up as they start a new school.
  • New Family Ambassadors DO NOT need to have all the answers – none of us do!  You just need a desire to help and the ability to identify who might know the answer (the front office, the PTSA, etc.).
  • The time commitment is truly minimal but the positive difference you make is ENORMOUS.  Ambassadors and new families are invited to one social event at the beginning of the year, but it’s okay if you can’t make it.  Your most important role also the simplest -- reply to an e-mail or answer the phone call when your new family has a question.
Please send a message before the end of this school year to familyambassadors@issaquahmiddleptsa.org indicating that you’re interested in helping a new family this coming fall.  Thanks!

Salmon Days Parking Opportunity
We are looking for a couple of rising 6th or 7th grade parents to co-chair Salmon Days parking, the first weekend of October. This is a fun and easy event that is a successful fundraiser for the school and a partnership with the greater community. It's a great way for you to get involved and give back to the school without a huge time commitment. You will have lots of support from the PTSA Board so this is very doable for working parents. Contact president@issaquahmiddleptsa.org to volunteer!
