Last chance to order your Strideline socks! - Warm your feet, warm your heart!  
Issaquah Middle PTSA is so excited to announce a partnership with Strideline socks.  Strideline has designed a special IMS sock!  These socks come in three colors and are selling for only 7.00 a pair!!  (In stores, these socks retail for 18.00)
The best part?  When you buy a pair of socks, the proceeds will go to the PTSA’s Angel Fund, helping IMS students struggling with basic needs.

Lunch For The Break - Midwinter Break Edition
Help families in the Issaquah School District during Midwinter Break when free/reduced lunches aren't available. YOU can help make the vacation fun for kids and lower stress for parents!
We have three options for donating to Lunch for the Break:
- Download the shopping list at lunchforthebreak.com, shop for the food, pack your boxes and deliver to your chosen drop off location. 
- Donate money to help us purchase produce, bread and other items for Lunch for the Break.
**New!!** We have a new partnership with Supply All Kids - purchase a food box online and it will be packed and delivered for you! This is a great option if you don't have time to shop, pack and deliver a box, but want to give something tangible. Click here to donate via the Supply All Kids Special Lunch for the Break site.
450 boxes are needed by February 14! Which donation option will YOU choose?

ParentWiser – Stress on the Rise
Feb 7th, 7pm at IHS
Why are our kids so stressed out? Dr. Laura Kastner helps parents understand the science of stress to help children with coping strategies and wise-decision making.  Learn how to enhance your child’s resilience, social and emotional competence and make family mental health a top priority. 
Attend Feb 7th, 7pm at Issaquah High School for Stress on the Rise - How to Support Your Child's Successful Development by Dr. Laura Kastner, a psychology expert and parenting author, featured in the film Angst. For parents of K-12. Register at http://ParentWiser.org/events

There will be 3 Renewal Levies for our Issaquah Schools on the February 13th, 2013 ballot!

Please Vote Yes 3 Times and return your ballot asap!
These are replacement levies - replacing previous voter-approved levies that are expiring. Like a subscription, your local school levies must be renewed or the funding will be lost.
(3) Renewal Levies:  2-Year Educational Programs & Operations Levy (EP&O); 1-Year School Bus Levy; 4-Year Capital Levy for Educational Technology and Critical Repairs
The Issaquah School District will receive more funding from the State in 2019 and 2020, so it is LOWERING our Local School Tax rate for those years! 

ONLINE IMS Directory now available!!
If you are an IMS PTSA member you can go online to the IMS PTSA website and access the directory. Use it for holiday cards, playdates, invitations etc. It has only been made accessible to those folks who have purchased an IMS PTSA membership. If you are not a member and want access to this awesome perk you can become a PTSA member HERE!! ANGEL PROGRAM
The Angel Program provides funds for IMS students to ensure their basic needs are fulfilled. It is a confidential behind-the-scenes PTSA program made possible by monetary donations from the parents of IMS.
Please consider donating to this program donate on-line or send/deliver a check made out to the IMS PTSA to the school and reference the Angel Program in the memo line.
The Angel program might need some extra supplies (furniture, bedding, toiletries, etc.) throughout the school year.  Please sign-up for these extra items and add your name to the - Angel Student Assistance program - on the volunteer interest page.
If you are in need of help this year, please contact the school counselors directly, the Angel Program would love to support your child.
