It is Staff Appreciation week! Add to the Fun!

IMS staff members are incredibly hard working. Staff Appreciation Week runs all this week (May 3-7) and is filled with daily surprises, treats and small tokens of our gratitude from the IM PTSA. Help us add to the fun by having your child show their appreciation via notes, emails and/or cards.

IMS Photography Contes“This Year in Issaquah”

The IMS Photography Contest is starting! Runs until May 21. This year’s theme is “This Year in Issaquah,” and the photos will liven up the hallways at IMS. Winning photos will be printed on canvas and put on permanent display. Contest categories:

Mountains & Forests: Shots from the different mountains and forests around Issaquah. From the trails and great views at the highest heights or the entirely different worlds of forest floors. Showcase the natural splendor of our Issaquah environment.

Waters & Skies: Take some beautiful pictures of Issaquah's magnificent bodies of water. This can include lakes, rivers, or simply rain trickling down a window. Also, take some shots of Issaquah's beautiful skies. These could be of stars, sunsets/sunrises, clouds, weather, or anything in the sky.

Animals:
Dynamic shots of Issaquah animals such as dogs, cats, fish, birds, deer, etc. One of last year’s winners was a photo of a beautiful bald eagle skimming over the water.

People:
Take photos of our Issaquah sports teams or images of people around Issaquah’s downtown or surrounding area. This could be of people or how people have impacted the environment of Issaquah.

COVID-19:
Find images that showcase how COVID-19 has changed our lives, like the renewed reliance on technology, masks, social distancing, and so many more ways this year has been so different.

Guidelines: Any student can enter up to three photos, but can only win in one category. All photos must be taken within the Issaquah School District boundaries. You may enter with SLR or phone photos. IMS staff will judges all entries.
