Last Week to Nominate an Outstanding Educator
Is there an educator (teacher, assistant, custodian, bus driver, counselor, administrator, staff member) who has gone above and beyond for your IMS student and developed a positive influence in their life?

The Outstanding Educator Award is your chance to say thank you. It was created to recognize individuals who have provided outstanding educational opportunities for youth that are above and beyond the normal scope of their job. Please talk with your students and encourage them to nominate someone.

Nominations must be submitted by this Sunday, April 25, 2021. To submit a nomination use this survey link

General Membership Meeting

Find out about the latest school and PTSA news at the next General Membership Meeting next Wednesday, April 28 at 6:30pm via Zoom. All are welcome to attend. Learn about becoming a VOICE Mentor and hear the latest IM news updates from Principal Reckling. Nourish Every Mind
The Issaquah Schools Foundation Nourish Every Mind event will be virtual (and FREE!) again this year… and in the evening! Grab dinner join the event on April 29 at 7:00 pm. Register here. You'll hear from ISD students about their personal experiences, how donor support has made a difference this year, and what they still need ensure their overall success. Issaquah Youth Advisory Board Event
State of Mind Event 2021 is an online seminar addressing mental health issues affecting youth. Professionals will present on various behavioral health topics including: How to Help With A Mental Health Crisis, Coping With Toxic Relationships, Different Aspects of Anxiety, Coping with Grief and Trauma, Body Image and Confidence.

The online conference is Saturday, April 24 from 12:00 – 3:30. Register here.


Did You Know?

Issaquah Schools Foundation (ISF or “The Foundation”) benefits and enriches the ISD community. The Foundation is one of the organizations PTSA supports. During the 2020-21 school year ISF donated $128,000 to Literacy Support and recently supplied 500 grocery gift cards for ISD students facing food insecurity. These are just some of the many ways they are making an impact in the community. Find out more about ISF and the programs that they run at isfdn.org.
