ParentWiser Event: Managing Stress, Anxiety and Parenting
Wednesday (tomorrow), January 20th, 2021 4pm: Register HERE or directly on Eventbrite. How do stress and anxiety operate under everyday conditions and at heightened times of concern and disruption? Dr. Lisa Damour will teach us how to keep pressure and tension from reaching toxic levels and she will coach us on how to support our children in cultivating these skills.

The IMS Career Fair is on Tuesday, January 26, in a virtual format. See the school website for details: here


8th Grade Transition Night (for families new to U.S. high schools)
If your child will be in 9th grade next year and you did not attend high school in the U.S., consider attending this Zoom event. Your child's high school will also have a presentation for all families, so this event will fill in the gaps for families who are not familiar with the U.S. High School system. Sessions offered in multiple languages. The event is Thursday, January 28. Register for Zoom Link form

Remote Learning Inclement Weather & Power Outage Guidance
Students currently using the ISD L.I.V.E Remote Learning will not have their daily schedules changed or canceled due to snow or other inclement weather. However, power outages and internet disruptions sometimes accompany bad weather and families should save the district guidelines for reference: here.
