FIRST PTSA MEETING
Wend, Sept 27 at 10:30am
Please join us at our first meeting of the year, Wednesday September 27th, at 10:30 in the IMS Commons.  Come meet new people, catch up with old friends and hear about our plans for this year.  Mr. Adams speaks at every meeting and will have lots to share.  Hope to see you there!

WALKABOUT TRAINING
Thurs, Sept 28 from 7:00-8:30pm
Issaquah Middle School hosts an amazing program called Walkabout.  Its purpose is to bring parents into the school to walk the halls among the students in the mornings right before classes start, during lunches, and after school as the kids are getting ready to leave.  It's easy, brief, flexible, and one of few opportunities middle school parents have to be around the kids, and allows IMS to have a positive adult presence at busy times during the school day.  You can walk alone or with another parent(s).  Once you receive training, you can choose to participate at whatever level suits you...once a year, every day, or anywhere in between.  If you're interested, please save the date for training:  Thursday, Sept. 28 from 7:00-8:30pm.

SALMON DAYS PARKING NEEDS YOU - YOU GET FREE PARKING!!
IMS is excited to join efforts with IVE and put on the annual Salmon Days parking fundraiser. We need your help! Please consider donating two hours of your time to help direct cars at the IVE field this coming October 7th and 8th! We are splitting proceeds from this event and as you know money raised goes directly back to your kids, teachers, grants, classes and programs! If you have a 7th grader or older you can bring them to help and receive Volunteer hours. The best part of this fundraiser is you can have free Salmon days parking for your family!!

ASB MAGAZINE DRIVE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We need your help to make this fundraiser successful. Please consider helping us with the following jobs:
1.  Counting Days (counting money and orders) - If you enjoy the sound of a 10-key machine and the clacking of calculators, then the counting job is for you!  Work with other volunteers to help count and tabulate the magazine orders received on each collection day.  Although the time slot starts at 8:15, please feel free to sign up if you can join us later in the morning (please just send an email with the time you will arrive). The school cant run the Magazine Drive without our valuable Counters.
2.  Prize Days (handing out student prizes) - Come join us during the students' lunch time to help hand out the prizes the students have earned through their industrious selling efforts.  The students are super excited to get their prizes, so that makes this an especially fun way to get involved.

If you have any questions please contact Pete Norby at poolnorby@comcast.net.
Thank you so much for your help.

VISION AND HEARING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Monday, Nov. 6 is Vision and Hearing day at IMS. We need a crew of 30 parents to help us check student's vision and hearing. It's only a 3 hours commitment, 7:45 to 10:45. No training needed, we provide that at the time. This is a short and sweet way to help the school and students. Please join us, we can't do it without you!

ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN
Did you skip over the Annual Giving Campaign step during online registration? We've all been there - rushing to complete the required steps and having great intentions to complete the rest later. Well now is the time! Please consider donating to the Annual Giving Campaign, the PTSA's primary fundraiser of the year. Your donations fund critical programs and grants that directly impact student learning, build community and support parent and teacher effectiveness. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
