TEXTBOOK DISTRIBUTION-WE STILL NEED A FEW VOLUNTEERS!
Principal Adams is looking for parents who can help with textbook distribution during the school day on September 11th and 12th. This involves helping the office efficiently bring kids from class to office/library to check out textbooks. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. No experience is necessary, only an ISD Volunteer Background Check. Don't forget to update your annual Volunteer Application. (https://issaquahvolunteers.hrmplus.net/). Any questions please contact Rachel Stoner at rwstoner@outlook.com.

WALKABOUT TRAINING
Thurs, Sept 28 from 7:00-8:30pm
Issaquah Middle School hosts an amazing program called Walkabout.  Its purpose is to bring parents into the school to walk the halls among the students in the mornings right before classes start, during lunches, and after school as the kids are getting ready to leave.  It's easy, brief, flexible, and one of few opportunities middle school parents have to be around the kids, and allows IMS to have a positive adult presence at busy times during the school day.  You can walk alone or with another parent(s).  Once you receive training, you can choose to participate at whatever level suits you....once a year, every day, or anywhere in between.  If you're interested, please save the date for training: Thursday, Sept. 28 from 7:00-8:30pm.

GRAB a FRIEND & HELP IMS at SALMON DAYS!!
Thanks to our generous friends at Issaquah Valley Elementary, our PTSA has been given the opportunity to share the profits and the work of parking cars on Salmon Days.  IVE will supply the parking spaces, the cones and half the volunteers.  This is a great opportunity for us to increase our bottom line and help our budget!  To do so, we need a chair!  This is a job for someone who likes organization, but you will have lots of board support!  Want to know more?  Contact Kristen Allen-Bentsen at kallenbentsen@hotmail.com

ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN
Did you skip over the Annual Giving Campaign step during online registration? We've all been there - rushing to complete the required steps and having great intentions to complete the rest later. Well now is the time! Please consider donating to the Annual Giving Campaign, the PTSA's primary fundraiser of the year. Your donations fund critical programs and grants that directly impact student learning, build community and support parent and teacher effectiveness. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
